Spring and Easter

As winter's grip loosens and the world awakens in shades of green and gold, Easter arrives as a celebration woven into the very fabric of spring itself. This ancient holiday carries layers of meaning that extend far beyond the pastel decorations and chocolate treats we see in stores—it speaks to renewal, hope, and the eternal cycle of life returning after dormancy.

The Easter egg, perhaps the most iconic symbol of the season, represents far more than a festive decoration. It embodies the profound idea of new life emerging from a closed shell, a tangible reminder that transformation and rebirth are possible even when circumstances seem sealed off or unchanging. Beyond the egg, Easter's connection to spring runs deep.  Flowers push through soil, birds return to their nests, and daylight stretches longer into the evening. This natural awakening mirrors the spiritual and emotional renewal that Easter represents for many people, regardless of their faith tradition.

The holiday invites us to pause and reflect on what renewal means in our own lives. It's a time to consider what we're ready to let go of, what new growth we're nurturing, and how we might emerge from our own closed shells into something brighter. For me Easter represents the empty tomb of a Savior who has risen to give me new eternal life

This spring, as you gather with loved ones and embrace the season's traditions, take a moment to appreciate the deeper symbolism woven throughout Easter. In doing so, you'll discover that this holiday is less about the trappings of celebration and more about the timeless human desire to begin again.
